Can someone please tell me how to change an ignition coil and how much the part should cost. I was quoted what seemed a little outrageous price of 700.00 for part and labour.
On a scale of 1 to 5 how hrd a job is this boys. The quote just doesn't sit well with me.
Any help would be appreciated.

its not too hard, get yourself a manual (i hate chiltons, everything is drawn, but it's better than doing it and not knowing)

Re: Help with Ignition Coil
the coil is built into the distributor. If you went to autozone or advance auto, you can get a new remanufactured distributor for 150 bux and it comes with a lifetime warranty.

Re: Help with Ignition Coil
btw: replacing the distributor is really easy...on a scale of 1-10, 1 being easy, i'd say its a 1 or 2.
taking apart the distributor to just relace the ignition coil is maybe a 3...not hard, just have to remember what order all the bolts & parts go in
