Alternator question

Is it doable yourself? any tricks I need to know about?....mine is toast... need to get my rpm's above 2500 in order for the charge light to go off haha.. damn stereo :(


Canadian tire wants 318$ for one..with a 90$ refund with your old altenator, is that a good price? or is there better prices?

Alt is easy to replace.. Just takes alittle time.. I removed the radiator & fans and it came out easy. :shrug:

anyone in canada know where the cheapest place to get an alternator is?..

is it worth getting a used one, if you have a stereo in the car? (2 12's)..im thinkin not.

why not just have yours rebuilt? I had mine done for $110 cdn. and its as good as new

parts store? Remanufactured ones are like 120 dollars or so.
