I just replaced my OEM radiator a couple weeks ago. The whole thing looks 100% metal to me.

why would you want to replace it with metal, aluminum is way better.

If what ur looking fo is an aluminum "metal" Rad just go to your local parts store and ask them for a Rad for your mx-3 then when they quote you their price ask them if it is an all aluminum Rad!

at the risk of sounding unintelligent, what help would an all metal be vs the stock one? heat distribution?
Electric Black '93 MX-3 GSR, Curved neck KLZE, KL36 ecu, Outlaw Engineering Thermal Spacers, Custom CAI, Carbon Fiber Invader Style hood, 2.25" straight pipe exhaust, custom muffler, lowered 1.8", and a set of 17" Exel DL-46's. With more to come once I get some $$$....

I looked at my old one I'm about to toss, and I guess the extreme sides are some kind of palstic composite. But I'm also wondering why that's a problem for you since it doesn't have cooling fins in that area......

The stock one has plastic end tanks that tend to break and/or leak over time-- especially since most of them are over 10 years old by now.

The All metal replacements are much stronger and less likely to spring a leak. They also withstand heat better than plastic.

By the way-- that company was CSF-- and they can be ordered from the same company that PATDIESEL posted earlier.

That is the same place I got mine from.

Your local radiator shop should be able to get one as well-- its just an all metal, stock replacement.
