I have a problem with my GS. I have the rpm jump for at least 1000 rpm when I put the car in any gear. Like, it's becoming rather annoying and my car lost a lot of power. Like I can feel it.
If am on neutral the rpm is at 650 to 750, once I put her on any gear it jumps to 1500 to almost close to 2000 rpm, and I think it;s not normal!
Also I have lost a lot of power, like I can feel it!!

Re: MX3 GS Problem!! Please HELP!!!
Took a look in the engine troubleshooting section of the Mazda shop manual for your GS. Man, this prob appears like it could be any number of causes and issues --
from intake mani vacuum to
fuel pressure to
timing advance to
throttle linkage or
throttle position sensor to
heated 02 sensor etc etc...
You name it and it's in there. Appears your best first step is to pull any engine diagnostic trouble codes and go from there on the basis of the code(s) that come up.

Second the codes, try pulling them first and then it is just a process of elimination. Replace the items that are causing codes untill you figure it out, then pull the codes again to make sure you got it.
