thanks :) Well then, do you know how much lighter? I think I heard the K8 was 18lbs.. I could easily be wrong, though. Next week when I swap the motors I want to shave the fly.. Anybody got any numbers? What can you tell me about the subject? Thanks ;)

got my k8 FW shaved to 13 pounds...stock it's 17 IIRC..and all 2.5L FW are 22....don't go lower than 13 tough..you're on the border line of being safe

mine is 13.6 lightened and balanced.

works like a charm... if you got a bit of cash go pick up a fidanza flywheel 9lbs and tough as hell and your car revs very quickly

isnt it a lil tricky to get your idle right w/such a light wheel though?

Hmm... I think I'll just have the K8's shaved to 14lbs.. How is street driving on 13-13.5? It is hard to move smoothly from a stop?

doesnt make a difference for idle. aggressive cams and timing are what make a lopy idle.

I have a shaved k8 flywheel, and a Under Drive pulley, revs nice. But i can't spin the tires going into 3rd like I could before! But that isn't a bad thing. It just was fun barking into 3rd!
