Does anyone know what the Key Interlock Cable is for and how it works.

There is a Starter Interlock Switch on the top of the clutch bracket. A Black/Blue cable runs from the Start position of the ignition key to the interlock switch, and a Black/Red cable runs from the switch to the starter solenoid. I assume the purpose is to ensure that the clutch is depressed before the starter operates.

We don't have that system in UK, so we can move the car on the starter motor if the engine stops firing on a railroad crossing!
