If you run the K8 ECU with your 1.8 vaf be prepared to feed your car mass amounts of fuel, the thing will chug like a full size 'ute. I ran mine like that for about a month, but it wasn't a daily driver, just used it on the weekends and the odd weekday for a 10-15 minute drive, and I was filling up twice a week. The exhaust smelled like a poorly tuned boat.

when I did mine the gas consumption with the K8 ecu was only about 10% worse than normal - I was luckier than the others I suppose.
