Well after a few weeks it was done, and ran pretty well. I bought the car with a thrown rod on the K8. It went so far out it came almost all the way through the exhaust and I had to weld a new section of pipe in. Check it out...

Unfortunately although I had the motor idling 3 weeks ago, the spider gears fell inside the tranny so I still havent got a chance to drive it and had to pull the tranny out and apart to fix it.
Working everyday leaves me almost no time to work on the mx3. However I just fixed the tranny so within the next few days I hope to install the tranny and drive this beast for the first time!

I took a comparison of an F2t (88-92 MX6 GT and PGT motor) rod and piston vs. the KL. PRetty crazy how small those rods truely are.

Any comments/questions welcome!

Looking good! I bought my MX-3 with the same conditions: Rod thru the pan and all that.

I have yet to find a KL locally that I want to actually purchase - almost bought a whole PGT w/94K miles on it on Ebay for $400 though!

But anyhow, what turbo you gonna go with?
I am think T3/T04E 50 trim Stage III turbine and pacesetter primaries with homemade pipes.

I paid $250 for the KL, 127k miles. Im still happy with the deal.

I have a grand national T3 .63/ T04B S turbo. I just finished making the collector pipes today! Ill do a write up on that as soon as i get a chance. Shooting for 250 WHP non intercooled.
