MS8 not what we thought

I was searching on the net for some MS8 engine bay pics and found this-

Looks like the MS8 is a straight neck manifold.

The curved neck comes on the eunos 800, AKA: millenia, AKA: xedos 9

ms8 manifold is the term for the curved neck type manifold from the eunos800 etc.etc.

of course well could be wrong as those squiggily writtings are not my specialty:D

MS8 is a car. I think somewhere along the line things got confused and the curved manifold was said to come from this car. after seeing that pick it obviously doesn't. So referring to a curved intake as an MS8 is incorrect.

I knew the curve mani. came from the j-spec millenia but i tought the name of the car was ms8...i was wrong...oh well..

I believe its the symbol for mazdas luxury line overseas which is "effini". The equivelant in toyota would be lexus and in nissan, infiniti.

Yup, shows how much bullsh*t people spread around on here and probetalk. From my research, the only car with the curved neck manifold is the eunos 800 and the millenia (they called it that overseas as well). The Eunos 800 was very similar to the millenia but came out in 1993 while the millenia came out in 1995 and was a nicer car overall.

The efnini MS8, Autozam Clef, MX-6 mystere and Mazda Chronos (basically a 626) all came with the straight neck version of the motor.
