Mystery port/hole on my KLZE

Just put my car into garage cause its been running rough. Mechanic has found exhaust gases/sooty air blowing out of a threaded port on side of engine. This port is on the tranny side of engine and is located approx 1 inch below the in/manifold for the rear bank(No 6 cylinder). It is a threaded hole /port approx 1/2 inch in diameter & looks like it is on the cylinder head. Could someone tell me why gases are blowing out of there, and should there be a blank, bolt or a component fitted there.

Thats an EGR fitting. Not sure wether or not you are running the egr. If not just plug it up.

That's where you can put your weeeeeeeed....

jk....which IM do you have? If you have any of the American IM's maybe the hole is in your IM since they are designed with a hole for EGR. There should be no hole in your cylinder head if you have a klze. The klze has no EGR ports whatsoever.
