Hi
there is a rubber thing at the end of the plug wires. In cylinder 6 this has gotten stuck in the plug well and I cant get it out. In the process of trying to get it out its damaged and has a bit of oil in it. Does anyone have any ideas how to get this rubber out?
Its driving me nuts.
Thanks

same EXACTthing happend to me. What u need to do is this, get some tape and wrap it around the part where the part u have stuck in your engine goes. Makes sure u have enough tape on that it is TIGHT when u put it in, it should come right out. if that doesn't work maybe even out a small strip of sand paper(so it grips the boot and puklls it out) good luck.

Thanks for the reply. My boot is severed and oily so I am not sure if the plug wire even goes around it. Was your damaged as well?Originally posted by bradmx32003:

Ok I tried both of those ides and nothing works. The hanger seems to be damaging the boot more. I cant even get a spark plug wrench in therearound the plug. The boot is oily and torn up. Any other ideas. This is really pissing me off.
Thanks

Ayaz,
I had this problem..it took me hours to fish it out...
You have two objections, I perfer the later.
First, get some of that molding glue that is used to stick up posers on the wall..it's like blue/greyish I think...it's stick and holds first through oil
You can either use a long screwdriver, wire clothes hanger, or a shishkabob.
I had the most success using the shishkabob with lots of that poster puddy stuff.
Just make sure to stick a big gob of it on and don't lose it down there...
GOOD LUCK

Re: It wont come out
Thanks for all of your suggestions!!
The wire clothes hanger helped, but I had a long pair of tweezers so I was able to pull it out in 2 pieces after several attempts. I then removed the plug and all the loose rubber came up with it. I cleaned the oil and muck up and put it back together. Hopefully there will ne no more oil in the well since i changed the vlave cover gasket on sunday.
Do I need that rubber that I removed?
Thanks again guys.
