I'm working on a '92 MX-3 V6.
It has an auto tranny but i know its on its way out since the car can be driven if you put it in nuetral, drive, or one of the lower gears. It does not go into nuetral or reverse. So i'm pretty sure thats toats. It doesn't even shift right when i do finally get it to move.
My question is when i rev the car, it won't rev past 4000rpms- would the tranny cause this? The previous owner said it would but i want to know if a new tranny would fix this or if a new engine is needed too. He said that when you rev it, it acts like its in gear and and the engine stumbles and kinda dies. Whats up with it?
Also- i'm pretty sure it won't, but the KL-03 tranny won't bolt up to this V6 will it?
Thanks for your help.

Yes. It will. It's a direct swap in in every way. All conectors should be the same as a MX-3 GS equivalent.Originally posted by knb13:

wow...thanks for the help. I'll just pick up one from a probe GT then since it bolts right up.
