Re: Camshafts ?
mazda makes them as far as I know.
they are located on top of the cylinder heads, you have to remove the valve covers and the intake manifold to access the cams.
I dont know the duration or lift but if you use the search feature you could probably find out.

Re: Camshafts ?
The kl and kl-ze dont have much of a difference. What makes the ZE so much more powerfull?

More compression and higher octane fuel.Originally posted by Chris Redmond:

Interprep makes high performance cams for the KL. I'm sure you can use them on the K8. Also, I've heard the KF-ZE have the most agressive cams of all the factory cam options, but good luck finding a set.

Re: Camshafts ?
better cams, better cylinder heads, better intake manifold, higher comperssion pistons, different ECU programing that is programmed with more spark advance to take advantage of all the better parts and to be used with 94 octain (= to 98 in japan)fuel.Originally posted by Chris Redmond:

The engine has a knock sensor if you use 87 or 91 the ECU can tell aand will produce less power, if you use 94-97 the computer will supply more spark advance and you will get more power.

Crap! For that much, you could buy a KF-ZE and pay someone to install it.Originally posted by Zoso124:
