KLZE has 195hp, 165tq. An LS-Vtec might have the same HP. It won't have as much torque. So if both cars weight the same my guess is the KLZE powered car would win.

I previous cas an integra b18a.

A built ls/vtec can putout more than 195 whp, but no way a ls (b18a) motor can put out 160lbs of torque.

The thig is, if your building up a ls/vtec more, you are most likely building it up for turbo :)

KLZE would destroy that engine in almost any car, except maybe a CRX. My boy has one built in his Civic CX (which weighs like 2000lbs) and he ran a 14.8 with lots of work. A ZE'd MX-3 would do that with a bad driver anytime without any work.

no offense but your bro is a bad driver if he has a well built ls vtec, mind you in a civic cx too. my friends full interior 2001 itr runs 14.6 completely stock.

Your friend must be an amazing driver because even the professional drivers from MotorTrend and Car and Driver couldnt get anywhere near those numbers in an Integra Type R. Even Acura themselves said the ITR ran a mid to low 15 sec ¼ mile.

Actually the ITR will usually run from a 14.3 to 14.8 in the quarter all day long with a descent driver.. If you're thinking about low 15's you're probably reading about the GSR which can also be taken into high 14's stock with a good driver..I know because I have friend's with both cars.. And i've turned a bolt on a honda or two... ;)

Somewhere I remember reading the older tpye R's ran a 15.3 & the newer ones high 14's. I was able to confirm it a few places on the 1997 ITR. Couldn't find anything about the 2000-2001 cars though.

If an ITR stock was running a low 14sec 1/4 mile, they'd be faster than an S2000. Please get your facts straight. An ITR is a low to mid 15 sec car with a professional driver. An ITR running a 14.3 means its faster than a 350Z, RX-8, is .2 seconds slower than an RX-7 Touring and is as fast as a 300ZX TT. Thats not true and its sad if you think it is.
