No heat problem with 2.5 KL HELP!

Post by knight »

I got a 92 MX-3 white 2.5 KL (aka whitefish old ride)But I have no heat.I have changed the rad coolant and thermostat(180).Also changed the upper and lower rad hoses. But still no heat.It blows all cold air when I point the air to my feet and warm air from the vents but never hot even after driving for 3hours.
Does anyone know what I should do next?

Make sure you got the right mix of coolent and water. YOu need a tester for that. Its pretty cheap.

Another thing to check - the distribution flaps in the heater box which control the airflow.
Re-shaped and re-sized gearshift lever. Best driveability mod you can do!
Extra thick soundproofing in the boot (trunk) to quieten my stainless steel exhaust system :)

Make sure there is enough coolant in the system. You know you fill it up between the heads and not the radiator cap. You gotta get all the air out of the system.
