Unorthodox UD pulley question?

We tried to install one on my Kfze engine the other night and ran into a bit of a snag, the back frame that comes on them keeps it from aligning with the waterpump pulley, has anyone had this problem as well? we thought maybe by removing the plate it would give us enough space for it to fit, we also considereing giveing the block a little shave so that it will work. Now i compared Part #s between the Kl03 and the k8 engine both use the same underdrive pulley so im sorta stuck on this, any commentary would greatly be appreciated.

Brian, I noticed Kevin's KL-ZE did'nt have the interferance on the block for his underdrive pulley. I think the castings are a little different in that respect. We could cut some of the casting out like we talked about earlier. What do ya think?

Yes, these guys are right, all the blocks are the same you have to cut the lip off the oil pump. No other way to do it.

The plastic timing belt cover needs trimming a bit as well.
