I have a 92 MX-3 GS that has a K8ZE in it. Idle was unstable hunting up and down, somtimes so low it would stall while sitting at stop lights. I troubleshooted for air leaks, reset TPS, adjusted the idle. I took TB off and cleaned it. While the TB was off I cleaned the front of the intake opening. The pencil shaped cylinder on the left side of opening was completely closed off.

After cleaning the car now will not stay cranked without holding the gas pedal. It runs very rough. If I unplug the VAF the engine will run without shutting off. Any ideas to what I may have messed up.

What did you do to it previously to cause this? or did this happen all of a sudden?

Idle was erratic when I purchased car. It quit running after I cleaned TB and intake. I tried another TB but it didn't change anything.
