Well the engine is in everything fits in great only prob. i'm runnging into is the wiring harness i don't knwo what all i'm going to need to splice into but so far that's the only headache and all of the mounts match up like i thought EXCEPT for the rear mount i can't get the mount into the bracket it seems that the engine is back to far???? i dunno i still ahve to mess around with it also it seems that the 4cyl shift linkage is going to match up except for the support bar on the linkage is and inch to long but then again i need about an inch to fit the rear engine mount so those 2 problems might be fixed at the same time but so far it's lookin as a pretty easy project except for the wireing so ifanyone has any pictures of the mx-3 from underneath the engine let me know please also if anyone has ANY info on wireing let me know PLEASE!!! i'll keep everyone posted lata

Congratulations, I'm glad to see someone doing that swap. What 6 cylinder are you swapping in? Please say a 2.5 one...So the motor mounts are the same(except the back one of course)? If I were you I would just get a 6 cylinder wire harness instead of trying to splice things. Good luck.

Yes i am swapping in the v6 out of the mx-6 so yes it's the american 2.5 but i bought an wrecked mx-6 for $1000 and it only have 16K on the odometer
but the motor mounts i got 1.8 ltr motor mounts since the engine already has the holes in the tranny to adapt that motor mount the front mount was ok to use out of the mx-6 and i had to get the 1.8 passenger side motor mount but as for the rear motor mount (it's a 1.8 too) is seems that the engine is back an inch to far so i'll have too keep messing with that
the wiring harness since i changed engines nothing of the 4cyl will work right???? except for minor wires but since i had the complete mx-6 i took the entire wiring harness and i mean the engine harness the piece that runs to the drivers side and the harness that goes throguh the inner fender (the engine fuse box) but i don't know what all i'm going to need
