ok before you get on me for not searching i did, and din't find much to trully answer my question, i have heard alot of talk about the millenia manifold and the straight neck manifold, i have also heard that one is better then the other or that there the same, now my question is which one is actually a better flowing manifold, and actually produces the 3-5hp they said you can gain by swaping it over, or are they just the same sorry guys my computer erased what i wrote down for this forum

I haven't seen any numbers for myself but it's been documented that the Millenia IM is the better one. I believe Vaughn's site has a thing about it.

How exactly do you know the difference?

I can use the U.S. millenia manifold, right? And that should bolt right up to the KL engine?

uh huh, make sure you take the egr off of it though, and make some block off plate where it was located.

I think there might even be three different versions.

94, pre 01/95 and 96

and post 02/95, 97-99

No idea what the differences is.

I'm guessing the earlier ones are curved neck KL03 manifolds, with KL03 sized intake ports. The newer, updated version is curved with KLZE sized ports

okay so back to his original question I did my best to find the MS8 style vs MX6 ZE IM write ups and I am getting lots of info except what it is I'm really after. I'm positive I've read it before that the curved neck provides 2-5hp more but don't quote me on that.

and Zoso that remainds me, when I get my IM back from the painters I gotta tap 2 holes for my egr. Mine came with the plate in the back but I'm gonna use my K8 egr

Well the reason the MS8 manifold might make more HP and TQ is probably because of that fact that it flows better.

If any of you frequent ProbeTalk much, you'll probably remember the custom manifold for under $400 post.

Well, in that post there were numbers posted and the MS8 is the best K series manifold there is because of the equal length runners and matched flow as well.
