Ok guys,
I drove my MX-3 to the 25 miles to work like normal yesterday and with no problems. I got in the car after finishing work and ad a vibration through the steering wheel and whole car, similar to a wheel out of balance. I stopped and had a good look round the car, but couldn’t find anything. Once I got home, I jacked the car up, had a good look underneath etc but found nothing, so decided to swat the front wheels with the rears. Straight away found the problem, the near side front wheel nuts were loose! I tightened them up and now it drives great, like normal, but how did they get loose?? The last time the wheels were taken off was for the MOT (A test you have to have to check your car is safe for the road, here in England). The car has done over 2500 miles since then with no problem and the nuts were torqued up correctly, so how did the wheel nuts get loose????
All the other 3 wheels were fine.
Thanks
Jeremy

Re: Loose wheel nuts??
You got someone pissed at you?
If they were tight unless you dropped into a large pothole only thing that comes to mind is someone with a wrench.

Re: Loose wheel nuts??
That was my only conclusion, but I've not upset anyone. As I said, the car was parked at work, and I've only been there 3 weeks, so doubt anyone has really taken a dislike to me already!

Re: Loose wheel nuts??
Could be attempted theft, especially if the wheels are alloys. If you fit a locking nut to each wheel, that should prevent a recurrance.
Re-shaped and re-sized gearshift lever. Best driveability mod you can do!
