Anti-freeze Leak??
My KLZE has a fast leak coming from block it seems. Around the pullys and belts. I havent had time to look at it yet but the car is off the road for winter already. So i have some time to do it myself. I am hoping at worst, the waterpump is gone. but maybe just the seals on it are. It isnt coming from any hoses and the car doesnt overheat unless water runs low (pump still works). My question to those who like to help others... What is your guess and if its a do it yourselfer? Thanks
Re: Anti-freeze Leak??
my 4cyl did the same thing, decent amount of coolant under the pullys. I even jacked up the car and couldnt see poop. Turend out to be a cracked water pump, the harder and longer it ran the more coolant came out.

Re: Anti-freeze Leak??
Thats kinda the problem. It also leaks just sitting in the driveway. When i go to add some water to it, it rushes out near there untill i put the cap back on. Im just getting alittle nervous with having water in it all the time. it leaks to much to keep puting AF in. fast cars are a b*tch to have....

Re: Anti-freeze Leak??
mine was doing the same thing about 2 months ago it was the water pump .as for do it your self i had it done with my timming belt and other 120k p/m
Re: Anti-freeze Leak??
my car is actually at the shop now, changing the waterpump. they had to change the "tightener" for the timing belt aswell, as it couldn`t be removed and reused... damn part was $200..
+ waterpump + rear lateral linkarms (or something).
looking forward to getting it back though

Re: Anti-freeze Leak??
I guess is that its the seep hole in the water pump, it leaks here when the seal around the shaft is bad, your problem is you can't see it unless you pull off the timing belt covers. Not an easy job.Originally posted by Stevie D:

I wouldn`t try this myself..
You have to remove the timing belt, and if you put the timing belt back on, and everything is not adjusted perfectly, you will get problems.
