Hey I just bought a 93 Mx-3 with 170k miles, exterior is in good condition for about, and it’s the 1.8L V6 for1000 dollars. I’ve driven it a couple times and I really enjoyed it. So Then I went bumbling around the Internet trying to see if I could modify it, and luckily there is. Some mx-3 ive seen look totally sick,. But, im 17 and working at wendy’s so im poor and hopping to at least get an engine swap before I work on the body. I’m not a hardcore mechanic, but I know enough to get by, but I was wondering, can a mx-3 with the KLZE engine swap hold its own against like, stangs, cameros, integs, and those annoying civics? Mx-3 is a nice looking car but I do kinda want the inside to be better before I get to work out the exterior. As for the body, I was hoping in the near future to get body kit on it , I was wondering if corksport is a good company to buy from, and if not is there any suggestions. Also is there any Westside companies preferably in California… Bay Area?? the shipping would be hella money if I order form corksport. Thanx for ya help

ANSWER: The KLZE is ~200HP. It all depends what year/model the other cars are bud. But im pretty sure the KLZE doesn't have a chance against a Camero lol.

ANSWER: Corksport.com sells quality products. However, there customer service sucks (at least for some). People seem to get there order extremly fast...or wait an insane amount of time. For example, currently the clear signal lenses for the mx-3 have been on back order for ~4 months now!
Here are a few other places you might want to look at (Most are in Canada)...

Sorry kid, we don't live in the "Fast & the Furious" :) It usually takes a bit more than just the engine swap to beat out the V8 based F-body series along with the stangs. However, Integras and Civics are fair game :) Bravo.

quote:
...but I was wondering, can a mx-3 with the KLZE engine swap hold its own against like, stangs, cameros, integs, and those annoying civics? ...[/QB]

Ive been in the car with my friend paul who we did a KLZE swap in his car last summer, pull on MANY Cameros and Mustangs.
Weight to horsepower ratio is the key :)

No, there's no companies here in the bay area. There are Altezzas' in Southern Cali. I'm glad to know there's another Mxer in Cali. How did you get your GS for $1000? I've been looking for one for some time? Your best bet is to buy body kit parts off this board, cheaper.
