Ecu/Vaf testing

This is just an FYI. Ok well I have a 92 Mx3 with a ZE in it. It is time for emissions testing so I have to get the car to pass. I have both the K8 vaf(JE50), the KL vaf(KL02), the K801 ecu, the KL01 ecu and the KL31 ecu.
Ok first off the best ecu/vaf combo for performance on this engine was the KL31 ecu and JE50 vaf.
Not suprisingly the K801 ecu/JE50 vaf was the worst. The wierd thing is that the K801 ecu and KL02 vaf ran the motor better than the KL01 ecu and KL02 vaf.
So long story short if you are going to invest in an ecu on your ZE the Jspec is still the best route but if you just don't have the money go to the junkyard and pull off the air sensor on a 2.5 liter 93-97 Probe/Mx-6/626.
This is all just by how the car felt there was no dyno testing so I cannot verify my findings to be true, yet. I am going to the track tommorow night so I can give you track numbers at least. Lata.
