I got Bridgeston Potenzas on my car and they are VERY QUITE (hardly any road noise). I highly recommend this tire.
Oh, ya. It's not OUR cars that have 'pricey' tires lol. Every performance tire out there is pricey...no mater what the car you put it on.
[ June 15, 2003: Message edited by: zytariuk ]

I just picked up a set of Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's from the tirerack. These are supposed to be one of the best 'bang for the buck' tires. It came out to $244 + $30 shipping ( ~$61 per tire). I even got 2 free mini RC cars hehe.
Another tire i heard is good is Yokohama AVS ES100. Supposed to be better than the tires i have now but they're more expensive.

you are a little vague on describing what you exactly want. Do you want excellent dry traction? wet traction? inexpensive? I am guessing you want quiter tires based on your first post.
I am running falken zeix512's right now, which are pretty decent all-seasons. good dry tractino, and excellent wet traction, and they cost me $36 each off tiresdirect.com

i dont care about "all weather" tires. there's no snow or anything. it doesn't get TOO wet or anything. i just want tires that will last for a good long while and are quiet.

i got sigma regents, they look like a$$ in that picture with the huge sidewalls and white stripe but they look sweet if you get them 205/55/15, and no white stripe, and they work pretty good too.

Well if you are looking for price and long lasting I'd recommend Yokohama Avid Touring series. I have them on my subaru and they have pretty good wet and dry traction although not anything like a real performance tire.
Should be about $50 US and they have an 80000 mile tread wear. I will probably try these on my mx-3 next. The wind noise on my mx-3 drowns out everything but the clunking suspension so I have no worries about tire noise.
