i've think i've decided to get the ACT Z62-HDSS Clutch for the Mx-6 to use on my Mx-3 for the KLZE swap, but now what i want to know is that if there's any problem with the Mx-3 Flywheel matching with the Mx-6 clutch

I dont believe so, many Probers use mx-3 flywheels, but just have them shaved down.
May wanna ask some of the probe guys who have mx-3 flywheels. My only concern is that the 2.5L clutch MAY be a few MM bigger than the mx-3 one. But that may not matter.
[ June 03, 2003: Message edited by: Custommx3 ]

i think david coleman has an mx-6 cluth, but he doesnt say that he uses the mx-3 or mx-6 flywheel. I read that the mx-6 clutch is 10mm larger, but noone has said what flywheel they use, i know its recommended to use the mx-3 since its lighter, and get it down to 13lbs.

I was thinking (and understood) that the mx-6 Z62-HDSS clutch can handle more power than the mx-3 Z62-HDSS, so i can put more power (turbo, nos, whatever), and not need to get a racing clutch and worry about daily driving.

The flywheel and clutch fit perfectly I would recommend getting a couple pounds shaved off of the flywheel as well as getting it resurfaced. The holding power of the ACT clutch is 260 ft of torque if I remember right. Good luck.

do you talking about the mx-3 flywheel and the mx-6 clutch? I hope so..
That setup should work better than the mx03 ACT clutch but not be as rough as any of the racing setups right?

Alright I don't know how to make this any clearer than this:
On my car with a Millenia KLZE I have the
Z62-HDSS Mx-6 clutch you want to buy and my 1992 215mm Mx-3 flywheel that I had milled down to 13 lbs and resurfaced the clutch dropped right in; the 94+ models of the Mx-3 have a 225mm flywheel. So far(knock on wood) it drives nicely!! I have no sloppy shifts but not jerky feeling either.

k, so the mx-3 clutch works with the 1992 flywheel, and works nicely, just checking...the "good luck" just threw me off got me worried.
[ June 04, 2003: Message edited by: Nd4SpdSe ]

I have a MX-6 clutch and a K8 flywheel too, no problems encountered.

As far as I know, 92-93 models have 215mm clutch and flywheel, and 94+ models have 225mm (same as MX-6).
I have a 92 fw and an MX-6 clutch.. the shop that did the job didn't tell me anything about putting them together.

honestly, If you want to turbo your mx-3ze then you can throw that daily driver idea out the window. go with the stage 1 clutchmasters for better pedal feel and daily driving.

Turbo ZE wont happed for prolly 2 years anyway, so its no big of a deal, plus i'll have a 2nd vehicle next year anyway.
But what makes a Turbo ZE different for daily driving over a stock turbo car?
[ June 08, 2003: Message edited by: Nd4SpdSe ]
