Exhaust Click??

Well,
My Mazda Has 2.5" Pipe from the headers all the way back to the pipe with a high flow cat. My car is one of the loudest i have ever heard and the cops just cant stay away from it. i am looking to just throw a resinator in and hope it will silence it or close to it. but i have noticed that when i pull away i have a click from the headers and if my car becomes a sleeper you will hear that click alot louder. I dont want to turn heads and have people see my whip and hear that crap. I am wondering if it is just a new header gasket and if its going to be a ***** to replace... it seems way to tight to do and it looks like you may have to lift my 2.5L out just to get to it. i have to have a new transmission mount put in too and i want it all done at once.. so if going to it from undern it may help just let me know... just some thoughts on what you guys think its going to be like fixing that click and how much of a ***** its going to be...
