improvement with kl31 ecu or not?

Hi all
I'm running the kl-ze with my 1.8 ecu.
I went to the track today and got high 14.
Will there be any improvement by running the kl31 ecu?
I should get low 14 and it's not because the way I drive it.
My friend tried it to and he's a real good driver and he got the same time as me.

The idle sucks not to mention the milleage.
When I hit the brake the idle goes up and down.
I know the ECU will solve this but will it get more power?
[ April 06, 2003: Message edited by: leiden ]

as for the idle jumping when u hit the break...i am almost positive that there is an air leak somewhere due to the fact that my idle still jumps when i hit the brake....but just to make sure ill check when i get back from school to see if it still jumps around.....
aj

14.4 is not bad at all !
I think the car drives now I'll never drive 14.4
I hope the Ecu will do something about that.
how about the of gas with the k8 ecu?
And how about running the engine when it's cold?
Mine sounds like a harley when it's a cold start and a lot of smoke because it is gettin to much fuel

Yes, I saw track times of 14 or even lower but I want to know what they run with the k8 ecu and after the replacement with the kl31
