Today I was driving home from work and my car started pulling and not accelerating, it got really bad a minute later when i wasn't gaining any speed at all and i was slowly slowing down. Not only was I gaining no speed, but my rpm's would not increase with the pedal pushed down at all. About 5 blocks away from home, my car stopped having problems, but I heard a popping noise coming from the back. It sounded like it was on the passenger side. Later that night I went to a friend's house about 2 blocks away, and when driving home I heard a loud pop again from the back. I got home and the exhaust was white (might of been from -30 degree celcius weather). I haven't drove it again tonight. And my fuel is really low. I heard it could be a fuel pump. Can anyone offer any advice on what could be happening. Thanks

From what you have said,it sounds like one of 3 things
1) The Catalytic Converter is cloged
2) Head gasket blown (smell antifreeze)
3) One of the cylinders is not firing due to bad or wet ignition.
4) Tribbles infestion
;)
For all the kiddies, Tribbles were from Startrek TOS Small, fuzzy alien creatures that reproduce very rapidly
I am sure Others might have a different diagnosis.
Oh....place some White conductive grease in the boots of your wires That may help if it is arching.

Well I don't think any little creatures are in my car, but I'll look out for them in the future. Does anyone else have any advice before I go get the car looked at?

Drive the car on a highway and then pull over in a safe spot and look under the cat. Is the cat. glowing? if so, its plugged up.

fill up the tank , put gas line antifreeze in, put injector cleaner in,disconnect and reconnect tps+disty+injectors+ vaf electrical connectors,
if it doesn't clear up change fuel filter, and it could be the igniter in the disty going but that is the last thing to check.
