do the universal catalytic converters from say catco fit without modification or must a custom one be purchased?

I suppose you will have to cut the flanges from your stock one and adapt the exhaust tubing length to the size of the new cat.

If cat comes with flanges, you can always make a short mini-pipe to make it fit between downpipe and mid-pipe.

My catco fits perfect. It came with no flangs. The shop had some and you could fix da pipies

just dont use the cat 
<p>more power hehehe....<p>and if ur ecu is programable <p>you can have your car run really really lean when they do emissions test and put the plug up the back end to muffle it.<p>We have these sorts of mufflers here in Melbourne...they are illegal but they sell them all the time.
