I could be or it could be a regular millenia engine, just check all the things mentioned when it arives such as the numbers on the heads kl31 la1, the block number underneath the rear head Kl######, shine a flash light in the spark plug hole to see if the piston is flat or dished. Also you can take that kl###### and find out through mazda what the engine came out of. Good luck! :)

And if it's dished than it is the ze ?
Oh well, it's already on its way no so nothing I can change anymore.
If it's the millenia its ok, if it's the ze ........ GREAT !!
Still 2 weeks to go, then i'll check the numbers.
Thanks

No, ofcourse not.
I payed $1100 us for it and the total price is $1440 including shipping to The Netherlands.
No I still need kl-ze ECU and VAF.
In the Netherlands we only have the kl03 and kl01
Will the ecu and vaf of those engines run just as fine as the ze one?

You must have way better eyes than me if you can take out a spark plug and see if the piston is dished or flat. The head castings won't tell you much, your gonna take the front valve cover off and see whats casted on the cams.

actually, 2.5L VAF+ ZE ECU is the best config... <p>You can get by on t the 1.8L ECU + a 2.5L VAF, because the 1.8L's fuel mappings are very close to those on a ZE ECU.
