ok weather stripping

i wanna cool down my engine and some people siggested remvong weather stripping is that the waether strpping by the windshiled wipers and if so how would that cool engine and what other options do i have thanks

yes that is the weather stripping to remove.<BR>you can remove it and feel the heat coming from the area of the wipers. one drawback is the hood might shake more at highway speeds.<BR>the rubber acted as a support along the back edge of the hood.<BR> If you don't like it just put it back on. there was no glue holding mine on.<BR> other ideas: water wetter for the coolant instead of antifreeze, drill holes in your thermostat, larger or more effecient cooling fans, hood scoopes, wire the a/c fan with a seperate switch.
