Can't Shift into 5th gear

I just had my clutch job done at pep boys, now i cant shift into 5th gear. Wats sounds wrong w/ this? i know I'm missing a bushing at the end of the shift bar near the tranny, is this the problem???

If the bushing is gone as you say there would be alot of side to side play in the shifter, like 10-12 inches. The missing bushing could cause that problem but I find it hard to believe that the shop would not have fixed that also. They should have taken it for a test drive at which point they would have noticed the excess play and hard to shift into 5Th condition. Hows reverse feel when shifting? for that matter hows the rest of the gears shifting?<BR> The bushing and replacement are not to hard<BR>if you have the car up on a lift. <BR>Andy P. 93 GS

if Pep Boys F---'D it up, then its their responsibility to fix it.. you shouldnt even worry about the bushings or synchros or whatever is screwy, just take it back to them??<P>
