kl46 is an ecu for a North American 2.5 liter, might have stalled because the knock sensors are different

if you have a 1.8vaf with that ecu then it will stall but if you put a 2.5vaf it will run
the kl-ze ecu is kl31 and kl36 big
also another way take it up to 180 and if it does not cut out then it is not a kl-ze

I am currently using 2.0 VAF (JE50) which is also similar to 1.8VAF. Can I just replace the EPROM on the KL46 ECU with KL36 EPROM? Will this solve the VAF incompatibility problem?
TIA.
