MX-3.com

anyone know of a good complete turbo kit for these kits? I'm fairly new to the mx-3 game I've had 4 mustangs. And this car has 0 lower end, I'd really love this car if I could get a nice turbo kit or turbo + intercooler or intercooled twin turbo kit for this car? Any one? Or a fairly simple retro fit like from a shadow ES or something? [img]shrug.gif"%20border="0[/img]

ummm no no simple fits you can build yourself a turbo which would be fun, or just swap the engine out of a 93-97 probe gt/mx6 the 2.5liter v6, or their is always nitrous, oh dont buy thomas knight turbo kits they suckass! there is a swap faq in the v6 faq

EGR spacer?? or before the TB? I've never built a turbo system before. How much boost do you think a stock 1.8L could handle safely? Obviously I'd be putting in new head gaskets and spacers, and prolly a new cam if i could find a good turbo/NOS cam. I know an exhaust guy here in town I'm sure I could get the headers made and I could get a nice T3 turbo. Any help would be appreciated, when i get it made I'll get all the parts list and places I got stuff built from and make a FAQ tubro install page for everyone else.

swap is easier and cheaper, but you would need custom headers to run on both banks, throw the battery in the back of the car and put the turbo there, upgrade fuel and spark and i think 10 psi maybe, might try to read up in the forced induction secion or goto dave colemans site hes got some interesting stuff there!

Whoa whoa, don't go rushing off into this if you're not even sure what you're saying, let alone doing. The cams from the miata aren't the same as ours, thats an inline 4cyl ours is a V6, the lengths wouldn't match neither would the lobes on the cams. Neither would the headers off a Miata, once again, 4cyl to V6 DON'T match. Not every exhaust guy can make you headers, they can try, but not with the same precision. There is a company local to me though that makes competition racing headers though so I am going to talk to them.<P>I'm saying this for everyone to know and hopefully look forward to, but if I talk to them and its possible for them to put together some high quality headers for a single turbo, I'll see what we can do with a group buy. If they won't do turbo then I'll at least ask them about making performance headers for us because since Hurricane headers has gone out of business no one makes them anymore. None of this will be known for a while though so don't expect me to put up a group buy next week or anything. Since we're on the topic of headers. does anyone know any company that makes headers for mx-3 with klze, besides hurricane.

As far as I know, the Hurricane headers are no longer available.<P>TKnight Turbos is the only outfit making turbo kits for the Mazda K series V-6. He has a bad rep due to the amount of additional work needed to get his "kits" to work.<P>Final analysis - you're on your own for a turbo. I suggest you spend some time searching on the FI forums of this and other boards.

No way to talk about turbo with a VAF. I´m working on a MAF that will output the same values than the stock air meter but with the "hot-wire "kind. I´ll post my findings as soon as I can, If you are researching on the same thing, please let me know and we could work together

TKT, though they have a bad rep through this site, is well-known and i know many people around this area with his products. Jeff Abram's supercharged mx-3 used parts from his kit. I'm certainly not endorsing him, but he's certainly an option if your certain you want to turbocharge your 3
