synthetic is a better oil IF you use it right from when the car rolled off the line.
I changed over to synthetic oil at about 130,000km and my engine burned it off in about 800km's! Put Castrol GTX 10w-30 back in and my engine no long burned oil. That's just my two cents...

Amsoil synthetic is the way to go. WWW.AMSOIL.COM
25,000-35,000 miles before an oil change. Check it out, They warranty it.
Synthetic oil will outlast any conventional oil. Also synthetic oil will hardly burn any oil at all compared to regular oil. Synthetics have a higher thermal breakdown than Castrol/others, and will not burn any faster than regular oil. It's a proven fact from the oil research scientists that have been researching and testing oil for over 30 years. FYI they are called Tribologists.

Amsoil, Redline or Royal Purple are the best fully synthetics out there now. Mobil 1 has now been reformulated with a higher Ash content, for whatever reason..

What did the MX3s used to come with stock? 10w-30? (that was just a guess for the record).
So its probably not the best idea to switch to synthetic? or should i try one of those for high mileage engine blends?
Im just wondering because i want to do whats best for the car and give me the best mileage while hopefully not sacrifice performance or very little of it.
Im looking for your advice... what do you guys use?
Its the 1.8L V6.
Thanks for your input!
