1996 V6 fuel cut RPM?

I'm in the process of looking at the code from a 1996 MX-3 GS OBD-II PCM and have come across something odd. If I'm interpreting what I'm seeing correctly (which I'm never sure about and why I'm asking here... :D ) the fuel cut on this 1996 GS is at 7000 (7031 actually), not the expected 7500.
The on-line shop manual, on page F2-131, shows a limit of 7500 for the K8 and all the other PROMs I've seen limit at 7500 for the larger KL03. However, that on-line manual is for the 1995 model year I believe. I've read on some web site that the fuel cut for the V6 in, say, Australia was 7000 but can't verify that.
Does anyone have a 1996 V6 manual or otherwise can verify for me that the limit is 7000 and not 7500?
Thanks,

All I can tell you is that I have a 93 GS and my redline is set at 7k, and my max rpm gage is at 8k, and if I redline as far as I can go, say in first or second gear it bounces of 7800...I think I remember hearing that for a 92-93...
anyone else?

Hmm...Steve "tekguy" would be the guy to talk to about that, as he had a 96 MX-3 and did alot of EPROM tuning. For what it's worth, my stock tach indicates ~7800-7900 fuel cut on my stock 1993 OBD1 US-spec K8DE ECU.

Thanks guys. Actually, the PCM I'm hacking was orginally mounted in Steve's 96 MX-3; when he swapped and went to an OBD-I PCM, he "donated" this PCM to me for hacking purposes. I hadn't really done much to it until very recently.
I know you'll find the tachs read optimistically in the upper regions. A reading of 7800+ is not unusual when the engine is turning just 7400 or so. This is a factory calibration issue. I'm confident that the 1993-95 OBD-I PCMs limited at 7500RPM but this 96 looks like it pulls the plug at 7000.
