mx-3 and Probe GT Trannys?? Interchangable?

what's up guys and gals,<BR>last friday was my first day at the track, and I blew a tranny. Now iam thinking about getting it rebuilt, or finding another one, from Probe GT.. <BR>Does anyone know if a tranny from PGT will fit exactly, instead of the regular 1.8 v6 tranny i had???<BR>i have a 2.5 in now, so iam thinking it should be pretty direct. Will my axles fit?<BR>thanks alot in advance

The trans is the same, axles will fit, use your MX-3 mounts.

different final drive ratio. Its longer, but i cant remember the numbers

What top speed can be achieved with that tranny on the K8? is it worth the money?

Okay, now I am confused.<BR>A while back I asked if the engine from a Probe would fit into a mx-3 and the answer was NOPE.<BR>So how come that the tranny will fit ?<P>(Yes I am a technical newbie.. most of all because I never had a car that was worthwhile before I bought my MX-3
