Why in Mazda's name would you want to do that?<P>If you did that you'd need to change out everything under the hood, then re-wire most of the car. If you want another engine than stick to models by the same manufacturer of your car. If you want 4cyl that you can modify than go with the newest 1.8L Miata engine.

the universal answer to questions like this is...**drum roll please**.....<P>"anything is possible with the right amount of money"<P>to do this, you will need the engine, tranny, and custom mounts for each. then you would have to get the drive shafts which the splines probably don't line up so you will need new hubs and figure out how to make them work. then the fun starts...wiring and engine management. after all this you have a honda-powered mazda(sacreligious if you ask me) and no money. but hey, if you want to be broke and original...rock on.

Its not original, original would be sticking an Elmo doll on the front grille. No body would think its original if you put a Cavalier engine in an Escort ZX2. Thats the equivilant of what is being proposed, the bastardization of a finely made sports car. I fail to comprehend the logic behind putting an Intergra Type-R engine into an MX-3 that can easily and affordably have a KL-ZE put into it.

even if you could do that for around the same amount of money that you could do a klze swap. the klze engine would be better to do.

The B18C5 is gunna cost you about $5K to buy, then the work putting it into your car. Yur lookin around $7000-$8000 swap for 195HP and 130TQ if you do all the work installing. The KLZE has 200HP and 180TQ and you could have a shop install it for under $3K. Plus, then the only people you'd impress with that swap is the honda ricers. Anyone else would ask why you spent $5000 more for a slower car.
