It's getting time for me to think about a new engine so I am puzzled over these two engines. One is more money, one is cheaper. One has more HP and one has more torque, right? Just how much more torque does the KL-03 have than the KL-ZE??? Also, are there different 03s, in that do some have more HP or torque than other 03s???
Plus, can I get a KL-03 from any old North American 626/MX-6/Probe? Are they really that easy to find???
Thanks, Aiden. :)

KL-ZE has more horsepower AND more torque... i think it runs around 190 something lbs/torque (not sure). I know that it has about 200hp and performes better then the KL-03 because of its 10.1 compression (vs 9.1), its more aggressive cams, flat pistons and larger intake ports. Here is website with stats on the KL family. Remember that the dyno numbers are at the wheel (not the flywheel) so 172whp @ 5900RPM, 160 ft lbs @ 5000RPM for the KL-ZE is VERY impressive.
http://plaza.ufl.edu/mugen23/KL.htm

Yes, the KLDE engine is VERY easy to find...the problem is fitting it in your engine. You need the intake manifold from the millenia to fit it in the car.

Favor...
Just say the curved neck ZE manifold. We had a discussion in a previous topic regarding this. Not all Millenia manifolds may fit. Also, other countries call it a different name. The MS8 is actually what you need, thats the one Tom S. has in his car. In Japan its called an MS8. Across the world, it may be something different. As agreed its called the curved neck IM.
