smoking

my car only smokes when i change gears not when i am just riding or ideling what could be wrong.

Wellcome! I did have the same problem when my car use to have a KD-8, but I resolved the smoking thing by replacing the valve guides seals.

it's sometimes normal for that to happen when your "racing" or shifting and revving real hard there might be a puff of grey smoke

Very normal for any K series engine, most likely its the valve seals but from talking to Vaughn he has told me that the piston rings have been known to gum up and not expand like they should. Valve jobs are really expensive, much cheaper to buy a couple extra quarts of cheap oil and throw one in every 1 1/2 gas fill ups. Unfortunately thats what I have to do. :(

i also doing the same thing. fill oil every time... actually, is that will be OK, will the engine go more worse???<BR>any oil product will help the engine losing less oil????<P>please help a Mx-3 beginner.... :( :(
