Hi,<BR> I just found a great deal on a 1999 2.5 V6 626 engine. I just bought a 1993 MX-3 With a dead engine it has a manual trans. I know that I will need my ecu reprogramed or find a 1999 2.5 ecu out of a 1999 626. I am also aware of possible down pipe positions that may have to be re-welded. What I am not sure about is : The differance between a 1996 2.5 and a 1999 2.5 engine? any emission weird stuff ? MAF instead of VFM sensor? I have an 8 hour deposite hold on the engine with other byers behind me waiting...need this info very very soon!!! thank you so much.

That 2.5L engine uses an MAF sensor-we have the VAF sensor, You'll deffinately have to get your ecu reprogrammed or get the ecu for that engine. Other than that I believe emissions/egr stuff you can use off the 1.8 good luck!
