window motor assembly

heres the thing. My driver power window wont go down, or up. The motor makes its normal sound as if it was working. So I figured it wasn't on the track or something. It seems that the cable that should be moving when the motor turns isn't moving. But it moves when i lift the window. Is this fixable by my lonesome? The door seems to be one peice. Im thinking of taking it to mazda dealership...anyone else had this problem? how much to fix? Thanks for any help!<P>Tom
