catback exhaust??

I'm a little ignorant about this;my stock muffler just went and I'm replacing it with a performance one,and the guy at the shop asked me if I also wanted a catback with my muffler, I asked him what the difference is and he said "some people just like it" [img]shrug.gif"%20border="0[/img] .<BR>What exactly is a catbcak system??<P>Thanks in advance.

what he meant is that he will do the new piping from your catalytic converter to your muffler, and by sain some people like it, he meant more exhaust flow, and nicer sound, get it done if it's cheap, and your old piping is rusted
