My car won't stop breaking!

Post by Bad_Ktty02 »

Hey, I live in Chesapeake Virginia and lately my car has been nothing but trouble. My parents offered to sell the car to make a down pymt on a newer car, but I dont want to give up on my wonderful SE! <BR>I took it in to get the CV axle replaced and a nail taken out of the tire and the tire repaired. When i went back to get it, the shop had broken off my key and left half in the ignition and the other half on the keychain! Well, they replaced the ignition and stuff. Charged me for it. <BR>I was driving to school yesterday and  I was pulling away from a stop sign and my car just quit. It wouldnt restart and I had to have it towed. The guy that helped move it to the side of the road said it might be the carburetor. Does anyone else have these kinds of probs w/their cars? I have 106,900 miles on it, do you guys think I should trade it in?
thanks,<BR>-=*Heather*=-<BR>'93 Mazda MX-3 Special Edition

i hope it would be the carb.... afterall we dont have one :D . We all have Electronic Fuel Injection. As far as the key, i do not see why they would have charged you for something they did. You may want to take that bill back and ask more questions. The first thing that we all must check when the car just dies is the distributor, which is a problem we're all destined to incur. That will also end up costing a pretty penny. I love my mx-3, and i'm sure you do to, but there is a point where the cost to own is to much (at which point you should consider selling me your seats :D , i'm in VA too).

i bought a lemon... made it look nice... fixe some things....still breaks down on me.. i got a compression test done the other week and the results were no good. The engine swap is my only choice.

Sorry to hear about your troubles :(. I got a 92' mx-3 GS with 118,000Km on it and it's running great.<P>Only thing i have had to replace was a CBV boot. I just had the timing belt & accessory belts replaced last weekend, but that's a given on all cars.<p>[ February 14, 2002: Message edited by: zytariuk ]
