does anyone know where i can find blow off valves for my auto gs? is their blow off valves for the mx3?

you have no need for a bov unless you have a turbo setup. your factory induction doesn't produce enough psi to operate a bov.

you wouldnt need a BOV for an automatic anyways it would be usless a blowoff valve vents pressure into the atmosphere when the gas pedal is released and throttle is closed in between shifts to prevent stalling the turbo in an automatic the throttle doesnt close when the car shifts so the boost is always running through the engine [img]shrug.gif"%20border="0[/img]

this is true about the throttle plate not closing, but i thought that when the auto tranny shifts and goes to a lower rpm, which would mean the engine isn't burning as much fuel/air as fast, it would still need to bleed off some air. but then again, i'm not too knowledgeable about auto turbo setups so feel free to correct me.<p>[ December 06, 2001: Message edited by: cre8v mx3 ]

Blow-off valves are universal. None are made for specific cars. They are simply a diaphram that allows air to vented when it sees a large pressure spike.

Go ask a Grand National guy about his BOV and he'll laugh at you. Autos generally don't need BOV's, because you don't let off the gas when you're racing one. <P>NO NORMALLY ASPIRATED CAR COULD GAIN ANYTHING BUT WEIGHT FROM A BLOW OFF VALVE.<P>CSV's are better anyways.<P>Question answered, so to avoid any further trouble...<P><B>Post Closed</B>
