mx-3 problem

Hey guys, I have an alarm in my mx-3 from a previous owner..all I know is its a clifford, couple days ago, the LED came on for the alarm. It stayes solid. (so I unplugged it, as the alarm is a POS and not working right..the siren is disabled as well). Yesterday I tried to start my car, and well..it wont. It turns over fine, and even catches..but it wont stay ignited, and dies instantly.
Could this be related to the alarm?.(I thought alarms disable the starter...thus it wouldnt even catch) so im thinking its not that.
Sparkplug wires? ...or could it be the timeing belt?
I had the distributer replaced in the summer, so its not that ethier. Any and all tips help.

Maybe nothing to do with it, but a lot of alarms on this side of the pond are wired to disable the fuel pump.

Call the guy up and ask him (last owner) where he got it installed and then take it to them and they will let you know within seconds if it has anything to do with the way they instaled the alarm.

That is probably done less than 1% of the time here. It's usually just a simple starter cut-off. None of that three-way cut-off stuff like the UK does.

if it disabled the starter, the flywheel wouldnt crank at all..much less would the engine turn over. so if it is related to the alarm, it has nothing at all to do with the starter

yeah it probally isnt a start kill...i dont use my alarm anymore....found out that when u work in the food industry grease & heat kills ur remotes...
i would hook up the siren to see if it is goin off...& if it is i thining it would befuel cut off...or might be a car jacker defense my buddy had one of those that if he opened the doors when the car was on it would trigger the fuel cut off after 5 mins & the car would be dead
it kinda sucked @ gas stations b/c if he left the radio on then he have to arm/disarm the alarm......
