Problem with Alarm

Post by DVH »

K, i installed this alram my self and I'm not really that great in this area, i know some of my sh*t, but not a specialist or anything...lol
K, so when u hit ur alarm to go on or off, the lights usually blink , or if the alarm is set off they blink, but now, for some reason they don't??? They used to always blink when i hit the alarm. I checked the wire, but it was fine...what esle can i check?? Are there any fuses that could affect this ???
Also, if i get fog lights and just hook them up to a + and - wires, will they work?? I want them so they come on when i put my lights on at night.
thanx for the help guys in advance :D
[ March 16, 2003: Message edited by: DVH ]

most good fog lights come with the stuff to make em come on with ur headlights. as for the alarm try resetting it if that doesn't work its a fuse or a wire

thanx, for the info, i know its not a wire, so it must be a fuse.....i'll try lookin on tuesday
As for the foglights, here 's what i got, a + and - wire that are free and not being used....they used to be used for my side markers, but pakfiefer does not make a spot of the side on their front bumper, so like i said i have + and - wires. Can i just hook these to the fog lights and they should work right??
[ March 16, 2003: Message edited by: DVH ]

The white wire(most alarms) that comes of your alarm hooks up to the parking lights. That should have a fuse on it. It might of grounded out and blown a fuse. to make sure that there is nothing wrong with ur alarm, check it with a meter to see if when u arm the alarm the white wire sends voltage to the parking lights off the alarm!!!!!
You can also use a test light...
2.5 KL-ZE, BBS rims, I the front i have to falkin Azenis, Intrax Springs, CM Stage 1 clutch, and Fidanza flywheel, Pacesetter short shifter, Tociko Blue Struts, Sparco Steering Wheel, Yellow Top Battery

Follow that wire to the alarm brain see if that fuse is blown, if it isnt then its something wrong with the brain!!!!
