i just dropped my mx3 off at the shop to get my system installed....i originally had a custom box behind the backseat with 2 15' hx2 fosgates with a cap on each..running a punch power 1500bd to each one and a punch 500 for my highs which push my rf separates....a kenwood head unit and the kenwood full din graphic eq...what i am getting done now is..well first i completely removed my backseat...i am getting 4 15' kicker solar baric L7's....4 caps (1 on each) and 4 punch power 1500bd's...i am using the same head unit but i bought an audio control three.1 to replace the graphic eq....i am also adding more highs....i cant wait so i can post some pics for all of you guys out there...

BumpNGlow what DB you hit? i am waiting to get my 4 12" Infinity Perfect 12.1D's installed that i got for x-mas... as soon as i get the rest of the money i will buy everything else and get them installed.

my high is a 153.7(backed up by a 153.4 that same night, but still kind of a fluke but I still clain it) but I did constant 152s by the end of last year. This year I stripped it all out, ran new wires, and new amps are on their way. Not sure about the sub... I might get 2 L7 12s or 2 3512s or 2 9512s or 2 custom Beyond Audio 12s ! who knows.

How do you put a cap on a sub. Im assumeing you mean a capasitor.

you assume correctly

they don't go on the subs they go on the power wire going to the amp.<p>http://www.eatel.net/~stentorian/elecdisc/capchg05.gif<p>That's how it should be wired.... but rarely do you see ppl ground the cap to the amp, they usually just ground it somewhere else. If you ground it to the amp it's supposed to illiminate any interference that may arise, but rarely do ppl have that problem.
