K, i know from searching that they say that the size is 6.5 all around....... BUT i measured the speaker that came out of my car (stock one) and it was 5.25.....what is goin on here??? just wondering cuz i wanna get new speakers....but this is messin me up! lol

the stock size is 5 1/4" all the way around, but you'll have to drill holes to mount speakers because of how mazda put in a 'three-hole' setup instead of 4 holes like most cars.

some aftermarket ones will fit like the kenwoods

my stock ones are 6 1/2 , is it possible that different years have differnt sizes. cuz this whole debate has been goin on for ever. i put 6 1/2 in all aroud with no prob, with out drilling any holes, so i really dotn know,

just post pics of the inside of your door.

no idea who they are made by but, i jsut check the back of mine and it is 25w, with my bluapunkts the tweeters are 270w and i cant remeber wat the 6 1/2 is

Stock speaker size is in fact 5.25" A 6.5" speaker will fit fine. If you consult the speaker sizing chart in Crutchfield catalog, it will confirm that the stock size is 5.25".

when u measure the stock speakers go from circle to circle not from point(where screw goes)to point or from point to circle.

Same here. Have 6.5 with new holes. They fit perfect and the magnet Does not enterfear with the window at all
