I own the 1993 eunos 30x released in Australia. I started taking apart the central console and found two unknown (to me) devices.
http://www.angelfire.com/empire/state16/eunos.html
I know one is the central speak control, but i'm not sure how it works, or why its hidden under the panels. Does anyone know anything about either of these devices?
cheers

Thanks for your prompt reply. Sorry for another long message. The unit closer to the front (closest to the shifter handle) looks definetly like a part of the stock audio system. I had a look at the back, and it has something like "12v speaker..." printed on it. and wires lead into the bundle of wires that feed into the audio head unit.
The annoying thing is that the previous owner replaced the stock audio head unit with a cheap tape deck. I'm not sure if they rewired anything. My current head unit cord has three different connectors. I'm assuming that's because the stock head unit had 2 components that used up all three connectors. is this normal in the Australian 1993 release, or in the GS mx3?
thanks again.

The one with K820 printed on top with the yellow connectors is the Electronic Control Unit (ECU).
The other one looks like it is part of the original factory sound system - probably one that came with tape and CD player together.
